Comment:

this is the first volume of a three-volume pulp best-of i'm doing. it's my fifteen favourite of their singles. i'm trying to be a little objective, so the three cds are all going to go chronologically and not thematically, and they're divided into singles, rarities and b-sides, and album tracks. the singles show a definite bell-shaped curve, with the best tracks coming smack in the middle (ie over half the best-of being singles off the middle two of their seven albums). the other two cds aren't skewed in quite the same way, i don't reckon, but then i haven't actually compiled them yet, either. incidentally, this runs 62:49. i could have fit 80 minutes of singles on there, with party hard and the trees, for instance, but i decided to just keep it at my favourites and not weaken a perfect mix.
