Comment:

my response to rick moody's article in the believer this month. (it would have sweet-lovin' man on it, but sweet-lovin' man skips on my 69 love songs cd)

ahh!!!....no Busby Berkeley Dreams or The Death of Ferdinand de Saussure??....it's tough to criticize picks for a 69 love songs mix because there are just so many songs that deserve a place, but those are two of my absolute favorites....nice mix though

Heh...yet another consolidated "69 Love Songs" mix. I think everyone who owns the box did this at one point or another. Check out my "25 Love Songs" disc. Crackity, we only have nine choices in common here. Stingo suggested two of my faves.

And, as Vinz points out, each of us who culled our own 69 subset managed to pick up dramatically different setlists. "Papa Was a Rodeo" and "No One Will Ever Love You" are among my faves, but most of my favorite tracks aren't here (the two Stingo notes, plus "Acoustic Guitar," "Come Back From SF," and "Long Forgotten Fairytale"). But, hey, what an amazing piece of work, huh?
