When I look at this mix, and I think about who I made it for, I just sit back and laugh. It spans a time frame from when we were in sixth grade, and possible earlier than that, to when we were in college. A guy I worked for used to tell me his cousin was the drummer for Tonic's band, so every time I road with him he would have a Tonic song playing, and I would hate every minute of it. Although the song included here is, I hate to admit it, is a favorite song of mine. When I listen to some of these songs I picture a dude with a mullet riding around in his 82 T-Top Thunderbird, kicking up dust and crushing an Old Milwaukee on his forehead, with a wife beater on and cut off jean shorts. Kinda like Kid Rock I guess. I won't give him too much grief for liking this music, b/c I myself am a huge Motley Crue fan and Bon Jovi fan, but this does have a significant place in my life b/c some of this brings me back to summer breaks in my hometown doing nothing but trying to memorize the words.
