Mom's birthday's this month and I thought a mix tape would be a thoughtful gift this year considering all we've come through in the past couple years. There were times I never thought I would want to talk to her again. She could never understand me because I was more like my dad and we generally disagreed on most issues. We've come a long way from that point and while we still don't agree on many things like how she likes to surround herself with Christan music...ugh...as corny as this might sound...she's not just mom, she's my friend. So, these are songs that made me think of her and they probably look like a crazy mix but each has a connection. For instance, Dust In The Wind is my parents' song and they play it on every anniversary.
So, Happy 47th Mom! May this tape forever live in your Rav4...or at least for a week. =)
