Comment:

this is a mix i made of all the new stuff i've gotten over the past year. some of the stuff is 'new', as in just came out in the last few months, other stuff is from releases i either got at 78 records (my local indie shop) half price -such as the shazam, appendix out, fantastic something, and radar bros, or used - heavenly, built to spill, lambchop, ides of march (from a pebbles comp.), and marshall crenshaw. the only old thing on here that i've had for ages is the tindersticks. the bands people probably don't recognize (unless you're q or soda, etc.) - are probably the local ones - benedict moleta - he's an amazing perth singer songwriter who's just self released his debut ep last week; tucker b's, another local band who sing shouty, fun songs, turnstyle, a defunct perth indie pop band, and bashful, a sadcore band featuring my boyfriend kim. title courtesy of the tucker b's, who's cd will be available through their label, www.quietlysuburban.com.au, hopefully soon. i chose this particular tucker b's song for this tape because my daughter xuxu absolutely loves it.

Looks awesome Sue. Especially like the perfect pop from the Hang Ups and Wilco (the latter is one of my favorites of 2002). When are you going to let XuXu compile her own mix tape? I'm serious! I'd love to see it. Also I should be finished with you know what in a week or two!

hiya Sue! It's Poppy Eric here and I do want to trade with you...I love your mixes. This one is nice, but don't know six or seven of these artists/bands. I want to make a trade with Shoegazing Dave and you when I return home from the holidays. I'll make something especially good for you since we arranged to trade eons ago and never did (my fault-sorry). I'll get one to you before x-mas guaranteed. I'll keep in touch...have a good holiday.
