Comment:

I wanted a variety of stuff...funky, groovy, hyper, aggressive, and some mellow stuff for stretching, rather than the same old techno that is always blaring through the speakers at the gym (though I do have a little techno for old time's sake). I've used this cd for several workouts so far and it works quite well. I sometimes alternate what tracks I listen to for a little variety.

I am in the middle of putting together a mellow-ish "winter" mix, and if anyone has some good track suggestions I would appreciate them very much.

Damn, this makes me wanna go for a run. You have just done the impossible. Very impressive. By the way, Elliott Smith would be great for a winter mix.

Kronos Quartet, very cool. Have you heard their "Winter Was Hard" CD? It's Psychedelic Classical. I call it the "Sgt. Pepper's" of Classical music.

Amd "Pieces of Africa" is the "Graceland" of classical music. ("Caravan" and "Nuevo" are also excellent world-music crossover discs from Kronos.) But anyway, I was actually writing because I also had "The Bird That You Can't See" on one of the tapes I used to take to the gym!
