Comment:
A really uneven but fun mix, actually, as it features a selection of my and my husband's favorite punk rock of the past 25 years, along with some indie goodness and a crazy blues song thrown in for good measure. The end result is a cd that makes no sense whatsoever thematically or stylistically, but sure is fun to sing along to at the top of our lungs. Also, I think that Johnny Was might be one of TEH BEST COVERS EVAR.
That is all.
Feedback:
Great stuff. That Skip James track is great... did you see it in Ghost World? I'm gonna have to hunt down that Stiff Little Fingers cover and see what the fuss is about!
Thanks! Yup, I heard the track in Ghost World; otherwise I might never have heard of it, and it's so wonderfully creepy.
Johnny Was is just really emotional and sad and heartfelt. I do highly recommend it! =)
