Comment:

Everybody likes to sing their favorite songs. Mind you, not everyone SHOULD sing their favorite songs, but...nonetheless...there's nothing we can do about that. Karaoke bars will exist until the end of time.. Now, I am one of those people who should probably NOT sing, and I don't subject others to my vocalizations. But I do like to sing in my car, and often do--no one can hear me...I harm no one, and I have a pretty good time. Get me going fast down the highway, fresh outta work, sunroof open, tunes blaring, and I'm GOING to sing...like it or not. This compilation was one created for just such a sunny day... No rhyme or reason...no method to the madness....just good songs that make me a rock star...for a little while anyways....

...And, if I'm going fast enough, and the song is just right, and if my skirt happens to fly up just as a big rig's zooming by and I don't do anything about it....... Well..... Can't help it.....it's the music...

Amesy,
I firmly believe there are two kinds of people who can't hold a tune; those who know they can't and they just sing along absent-mindedly when their favorite song comes on, simply because they just love it, then there is the dreaded "thinks they can sing" tribe, who insist on overemoting, oversinging, over the top, over the wall...
Anyway, good to see you've embraced Lucinda. "Essence" is kind like the title says, a culmination of everything that she's done up to that point. Check out Kathleen Edwards and Kasey Chambers, too!
