Comment:
Custom job for slally...took me forever to conjure up the idea.....and actually turned out pretty damn good, to be modest (eh eh).... Pretty fun--and surprisingly enough, the songs flow really well. Just too bad the Tigers are SUCKHOLES, then I wouldn't need the disclaimer....and Detroit would truly ROCK.
Feedback:
great title. nick work overall.
yes i like the title too and a lot of songs on this
you forgot D12's "Dertroit Grammar"
There are a LOT of songs not included!! There's not much room on ONE CD to fit every song about the D... Perhaps there will be future installments....
lol what a cute idea
THIS KICKS ASS. However..... Detroit scares the shite outta me. My first time in the city, I get out of the van (t'was a band gig) and our singer gets mugged instantly. Now mind you, it wasn't the most competent mugging. But still, I learned to fear the D. Thanks for the disc.... and for the Tom Jones track. Yeah!
But at least you have such a beautiful park to hold your stinker of a baseball team. Go Matt Anderson Go!
I love Detroit, probably because it's the closest American city that has great concerts, but yeah...scary place. cool mix.
Your football team ain't so hot either ;-)Wonderful mix.
Ooh, don't forget Smokey Robinson's "I Care About Detroit". I found it over at the iTunes Music Store. It's so honest and sincere that it's painfully laughable. Also, it was probably also recorded when all the buildings downtown weren't abandoned...
When I saw the inclusion of "Dr. Detroit," my jaw dropped. Not only do I have that on 45, but I actually have a fond, vivid memory of going to see that movie in the theater, the day I turned in my high school research paper early. I was so worried about getting it done, that when I finished it early I was nothing south of over the moon. Good times.
