This is a random mix tape of songs that got me through the summer or remind me of this past summer or were playing during certain situations of this past summer. Each song kind of has a story, and the Monty Python clips were thrown in because I was watching a lot of Monty Python while I was stoned this past summer. The KC And The Sunshine band song was thrown in because it reminded me of my friend's birthday party the first day of summer vacation. The songs kind of work in a chronological order of sorts, especially at the end of the second side. The Thursday song marking the last week of vacation and me buying the "Full Collapse" CD with my first patcheck. The last song, "Over" by APC, is a trademark of mixtapes I make for people because I usually include that as a mix closer. For this mix's purpose, it is the close of the tape as well as the summer.Feedback:
this mix rocks!! i love mixes that you can pop in and then just sit back and escape into past summers..love the Dave, Weezer, Python (ever heard Fish License?) The Smiths, The White Stripes, Beatles, Fiona, Floyd and MAJOR props for the Tool and APC picks..3 libras is on a lot of my mixes, my favorite tool song to put on mixes is H and i absolutely love Over. so beautiful. ahh i wish i could just wrap maynard's voice around me, its so enveloping to begin with but i'd love to just live inside it :)
