Comment:
This was a Christmas CD for my friends in 2001. I was still sad and angry from the attacks but burned out from the free-floating frustration a lot of us were feeling after three months of looking over our shoulders. I almost didn't bother with a mix because the music industry, champing at the bit for "another Vietnam," alienated me with its paranoid radicalism just when I needed an escape most. As a conservative, I never expected the professional bohemians in the business to echo my politics, but there was only so long I could bear reading that Boots Riley was more important now than ever.Feedback:
great way to bring sensitive politics to AOTM!
