Comment:
A mix for CASETTA. No theme, just some good songs. Be on the lookout for Grand Salvo - the song on here is an instrumental post rock number, but he also sings gorgeous songs. Title courtesy of Orange Humble Band.Feedback:
Swervedriver!
mmmm a lot of unheard songs here, looks interesting
sounds like another of your strong guitar-mixes.
Only a few known bands, as usual--but probably terrific stuff, as usual!
There's that Rainyard group again! Mmm, Orange Humble Band, Hummingbirds, and Anomoanon....fun-timin' swingers from Sue, the Perthian Popster.
What I know on here is sensational, and I imagine the stuff I don't know is equally so.
What Adam said. I certainly trust your judgment, Ms. EW.
yeah, the rainyard are deserving of being on lots of mixes. too bad they only had one ep, a couple of cassettes and a couple of 7"s. most of the stuff on side A is australian, except for flying color, who are american (the album the song came from came out in '87 or so).
oh, and the first 4 tracks on side B are aussie too - with grand salvo being the only non-perth band - and all 4 are "post-rock".
Lovely as usual Sue. That Hummingbirds song is a classic. I like the Bashful/Sneeze combo. Where's Dopey?
Wonderful.
Thanks Sue. I look forward to the sounds.
you send me on a wild ride to the hugely enthusiastic world of music in which i once dwelled. i want to hear everything on hear that i haven't....
