Comment:

Alright, this is where the comments go. Yes, I used that Mendoza Line song last week, but I needed to do it one more time. I couldn't help it. The Eva Cassidy cover is alright, but I'm not a big fan of covering that song. Probably for the reason I'm not a big fan of covering "These Days"...the original artists left such an imprint on their version, that it's makes the song difficult to cover. Yet, both are present on this disc. Eva Cassidy does have another cover she does, which will be on the next mix I post, that is absolutely sensational. Partially because she does a great job, partially because it's one of my favorite songs in the first place. And I just flat-out can't turn down any Elliot Smith cover. "Thirteen" is still my favorite cover of his though. That final version of "I Shall Be Released" is something. I'm not sure what, but it's something. It's not the greatest rendition of the song ever, but it is one of my favorite Bob tunes, and they are...enthusiastic with the performance. So, they tried. And one last note, that Lloyd Cole song is absolutely phenomenal. I just adore it. I'm very much in need of more of his work, if anyone wants to trade. Now I'm going to go rustle up some breakfast. Jesus, you've picked some of my favorite songs by each of these artists--Love, the Kinks, Lloyd Cole, Syd Barrett, and the Pogues. Nice stuff. I could do without Eva Cassidy, but that's just personal preference.

This looks fantastic, Adam. I really dig that Songs:Ohia track and I love the Neil Young->Dylan/Costello stretch at the end.

Damn good mix son. Perfect Skin is probably my favorite L.C. song, but I like "...heartbroken" as well.
