Comment:
Volume 1 r Made in October 1991 for my dear friend Jane Stephan. This, too, started life as a cassette, and in the days of not-too-many CDs. But it still sounds and plays great ... and can even change a girl's mood ...Feedback:
There aren't too many mixes that won't prosper by starting out with Passionate Kisses. I really love the early, bluesy Bonnie, and your choice is excellent. Jean Shepard blows the roof off, and, of course, give 'Retha some RESPECT! GIRLS RULE!!
passionate kisses are a really great song
Yes, great Lucinda and Jean Shepard picks (among many others)!
really nice mixture
Hi Sally - I would really like to give this for my wife's B-day. She would love it. Is there something in my (limited) output that would appeal to you?
Very nice.
Jean Shepard's "Twice the Lovin' in Half the Time" would've been nice as well . . . Cool stuff, BTW.
I had nearly forgotten about "I Spent My Last $10 On Birth Control and Beer"!! Great choice! There's other nice stuff here, but the Two Nice Girls song holds a spot in the recesses of my heart. :)
OK, I've had a chance to listen to this mix a couple of times, and here are my brief comments...starting off with "Passionate Kisses" is great! Got me into it right away...the Bob Marley song has a special spot in my heart for a couple of various reasons...there is NEVER a bad time for Aretha Franklin! I like both Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris, but didn't know either of these songs, so that's cool. The Roseanne Cash and second Bonnie Raitt songs are awesome, but my favorite track is probably "Two Whoops and a Holler"! Thanks so much for the cds...and I would give you feedback on the other one, except my wife took it to work with her the day after we got it, and I haven't seen it since! (She likes it!) Oh, and PS: your cds were mailed today. :)
