Hey, so guess what? I bought a burner. That'll please some of the people on here, I think. I got a Phillips component system, as my computer is way, way too old and slow to be able to handle a computer one. But at least I can make cds now. This first, inagural mix should've been for myself, as isn't that what you should do, right? But no, I decided to get out of the way some mixes I promised to people in the last few months or so. This one in particular is for an Aussie girl named Maddy, or "jed the humanoid" on here, as well as for a guy I gave some advice to on the Big Takeover mailing list (about how to get his band, which had been rejected by like 59 indie record labels, signed or at least played on college radio, etc.) Title courtesy of Charlotte's Web, who are from Perth and were around in the 80s. If you didn't already know, this is another all aussie mix, as was requested.Feedback:
Congratulations on your switch to digital!! I'm sure many people on this site will welcome your switch to the new format -- me included. As for the mix, I don't recognize much, but I know it will sound good in my CD player.
Woohoo! Sue's gone digital!
Excellent mix Sue. Congratulations on the 1's and 0's.
The only band I know well enough to say anything about on here is the Sleepy Jackson, but im sure this is very good...
congrats on your upgrade...we are [increasingly] spirits, in a digital world...!
Yes, yay for the switch... I was one of the last holdouts on tape when it came to my music (I didn't buy my first CD until 1999, when Pavement's "Terror Twilight" wasn't released on tape). But I guess I'm happy with CDs now. Oh, I love that Sodastream track. I just used it as a closer on a mix I made.
yes, and now upgrade all your great tapes ;) cos i still don't have a tapedeck and there's a lot of your mixes i want on CD, like this one
I don't know much, but I'm intrigued. And hooray for the burner.
Yay!! Sue can burn mixes!! This looks terrific, I'd love to hear it! =)
welcome to the digital age, Sue. I for one know it will improve the quality of trading on the site, and look forward to your future contributions and hopefully to our trades!
Nice mix. Congrats on your conversion to digital!
sounds wonderful! the record company i'm working for is releasing the new sodastream album later this year. it's fantastic!
congratulations, its a burner! etc. You sell out! not really. this looks great. but then really how can you go wrong.
word.
so, i haven't heard of ANY of these cats besides Sodastream (does that fellow not sound like Stuart Murdoch?). but new zealand being a nearby supplier of musical amazingness, i cannot even being to imagine the riches that giant australia holds (aside from red monkey and BEN FOLDS! tee hee hee.).
i now have even more tantalising acts to futilely seek out on kazaa.

Way cool! Would love to hear this one. Are you going to re-do all of your cassettes? That's a job!
Excellent work, & excellent news. I don't have a tape player...maybe now we can trade?!?
