Comment:

Hey, so guess what? I bought a burner. That'll please some of the people on here, I think. I got a Phillips component system, as my computer is way, way too old and slow to be able to handle a computer one. But at least I can make cds now. This first, inagural mix should've been for myself, as isn't that what you should do, right? But no, I decided to get out of the way some mixes I promised to people in the last few months or so. This one in particular is for an Aussie girl named Maddy, or "jed the humanoid" on here, as well as for a guy I gave some advice to on the Big Takeover mailing list (about how to get his band, which had been rejected by like 59 indie record labels, signed or at least played on college radio, etc.) Title courtesy of Charlotte's Web, who are from Perth and were around in the 80s. If you didn't already know, this is another all aussie mix, as was requested.

Congratulations on your switch to digital!! I'm sure many people on this site will welcome your switch to the new format -- me included. As for the mix, I don't recognize much, but I know it will sound good in my CD player.

Yes, yay for the switch... I was one of the last holdouts on tape when it came to my music (I didn't buy my first CD until 1999, when Pavement's "Terror Twilight" wasn't released on tape). But I guess I'm happy with CDs now. Oh, I love that Sodastream track. I just used it as a closer on a mix I made.

word.
so, i haven't heard of ANY of these cats besides Sodastream (does that fellow not sound like Stuart Murdoch?). but new zealand being a nearby supplier of musical amazingness, i cannot even being to imagine the riches that giant australia holds (aside from red monkey and BEN FOLDS! tee hee hee.).

i now have even more tantalising acts to futilely seek out on kazaa.
