My boyfriend made this tape for our six-month anniversary. He forgot to give me the "explanation" sheet, so I'm guessing at some of the artists because the tape only lists the song titles. :p A lot of the stuff is sort of songs that have been "ours" from the start (like "Hard Candy") and some of it is references to important parts of our life (the first time he ever saw me perform with a band, we did "Piece of My Heart"... and we saw Sister Hazel play during a particularly volatile time in the relationship and therefore "Out There" is rather significant)... you get the idea. The last track is a song he wrote and recorded over a year ago, before we'd even met. He says he had a dream one night about the perfect girl in his life and wrote the song when he woke up, but never liked it because she was just a dream and not reality, until he met me. Cute and sappy, no? :P
