Comment:
6 February 2002This ended up being the first in the series for my dear "resident" friend/lover/24-carat-manic depressive and general knucklehead. He passes for a Texan where he spent a lot of serious growing up time, but is in his soul one of those torn New York-Californians. (Let's not forget that he was born in Maine and lived on the Aleutian Islands ...) As I am wont to notice, he chooses his origin based on the needs of the current anecdote. So, this is the first bunch of songs in his honor: some of them are his favorites, some of them should be, some of them are reflective of his past.
Feedback:
This is wonderful. I love the Sinatra, Guy Clark, Richard Shindell, Eric Taylor...
This one is all over the place - & a good thing, too. (It's noticeable that in music just
as in geography, Texas covers a lot of territory.)

This is a wonderful collection.
very cool indeed
Looks like the ol' Stevemeister will never want for good tunes. Nice selections, and good to see Eric Taylor poppin' up. (P.S. your discs are on the stagecoach.)
Well, thanks, y'all ... it plays pretty well. That Trisha Yearwood cover of Tammy is a real tearjerker, I'll tell you!
Hi Sally - this looks wonderful. I hope he likes it. Your usual signature touch of the cd /track detail really is a pleasurable part of the mix.
