Comment:
A selection of hip-hop that I have been listening to for the past few months. Obviously, I haven't ventured far from the Def Jux and okayplayer catalogs, so this mix is narrow in production. I also lose points for including both Jay-Z and Nas cuts. Not only that, but I give Jay-Z his battle rhyme against Nas and leave Nas hanging with merely one of his classics. Not very fair, and I apologize. In my defense, I was chosing the songs, not the personalities. Also, the Cex/Angela Davis track is something I cut together. It's a clip of an Angela Davis lecture concerning the population of prisons over Cex's "A Mansion as the Body She Resides In." If you want it, I suppose I could send it to you, but it's not groundbreaking. And it's only 46 seconds. Many apologies.Feedback:
That Talib Kweli cut is a killer...a killer!
Hey - you have Little Brother, from Raliegh, no? So are you frm the area?
I was born in Raliegh, yes. My family lives there now. It's great.
nas is tight though. no harm done. this mix is new age slice.
