I attended Mount Elizabeth Secondary School (MESS), in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada, from 1991 to 1996 (I guess I'm dating myself with that statement). This collection represents the Alternapop/rock that came to prominence during that time. While a lot of the stuff on here is very one-hit wonder-ish, most of it is, even four to eight years removed, still very catchy stuff (oh yeah, like you've never sung along to the chorus of 'Buddy Holly' at one time in your life). Overall, a fun little compilation that, even minus the kitsch appeal, will have you tapping your foot.
