Comment:

This tape started out as an excuse to use "Madeleine-Mary" and that Beach Boys song. The Tiny Tim song is a baritone rendition (with his wife) of a Cole Porter song which nicely toes the line between prettiness and creepiness. It's offputting, but its near-total lack of irony is in some ways commendable. Were it not for time constraints, I would have used Bowie's "Velvet Goldmine" and Wilco's "Poor Places" on side B.
