Comment:

This is Part I of a break-up mix I made for a friend, after he went through a particularly surreal post-relationship period (discovering your current ex-girlfriend is going out with her roommate, your previous ex-girlfriend... some days, when you wake up, there's just no way of knowing what's going to happen.) This could be considered the low half, songs that reflect that depressed and incapacitated state of mind where just getting out of bed and going about your Saturday without her is like shoving white-hot needles into the place your heart would be, if she hadn't ripped it out and eaten it for dinner with a side of french fries...

I'd have to say that he got what he deserved...they probably compared notes on his "performance" and realized that they could do much better themselves!

Yikes... Sounds like an episode of Springer to me, but they say real life is stranger than fiction. I love the Crooked Fingers song, and while I guess it IS a Prince song (he did write it and all) I am quite fond of the Cindi Lauper verson as well. :)
