Comment:
some organ faves, my brain is half dead, so I know I left out a bunch. Please enlighten me to other farfisa, vox, hammond, etc songs with that great organ soundFeedback:
hey, his is a wonderful selection. sounds great!
Organ music. A great idea for a mix. I always liked some funky organ with my rock n' roll from the cheesy farfisa organs of the tex-mex stuff in your mix to the thundering Hammond B3 of Vanilla Fudge. The king of the funky organ of course is Jimmy Smith and while he is really soul jazz he always did a lot of covers of rock songs. Lee Michaels played some wicked organ. He had a big hit in the early 70's with Do You Know What I Mean and a blistering organ vamp on the cover of Can I Get A Witness. So much more.
that's funny cos I just got a hammond organ and it's sitting in my garage waiting for warmer weather to start tearing it up.
neat stuff
