Comment:
Our nine-month-old son is beginning to react in a really fun way to music--he'll stare at the stereo and bob his head to songs he really likes. I'm beginning to notice that he has certain favorites, among them Stevie Wonder's "Fingertips" (hence the title of this CD) and several songs by the Beatles, including "Penny Lane." Also included here is Willie Nelson's "Three Days," which was one of the first songs we noticed our older son Jimmy enjoying when he was about the age Chris is now. You might notice some repetition from the Jammin' With Bob CD I posted the other night. I wanted a bunch of those songs, but in a slightly different context from the Bob mix. This CD will be a cool soundtrack for the roadtrip the J, C, and I will be making to Washington D.C. later today to meet up with their mom. Three guys headed south on I95 with a CD full of cool tunes playing in the car. Does life get much better than that?Feedback:
Men like mambo..! Everybody mambo! (..and "Dandelion", too!)Have a great trip!
really sweet, rich.
isn't it great when your kids start to like music? it's even better when they start to like the music *you* like! of course, in my house (where it's just my daughter & i) we listen to my music, but that's cos she's only 4 - but i'm laying the ground work for her to like the stuff i like when she's older. my daughter can actually name certain bands now when she hears me play them - how cool is that?

You're a nice Daddy.
When the little guy grows up he will thank you.

Hey, you don't have to be nine months old to like this mix! I think youngsters will still be diggin' the Beatles in 2067, and probably Kurtis Blow too. So have you found a Belle & Sebastian t-shirt for Xu Xu yet Sue?
Great (though, actually, I'm not quite sure how the "Pink Panther Theme" and "The Breaks" go together). And when does one see the Missing Persons featured on a mix? That Eddy Grant track ranks pretty high on my personal hate list, though. ;)
