Comment:
A complete and unabridged compilation of every officially-released cover version that TMBG and Flansy's side band Mono Puff have released, which conveniently fit perfectly on an 80-minute CD. Who doesn't love a good cover tune?
Feedback:
I'm a huge, huge TMBG fan and this was a really good idea. You forgot one, though: "O Tannenbaum." I also might have thrown on "To All The Girls I've Loved Before" (live, with vocoder) if I had room. Now then, where did you get that incredible cover shot?
vinz clortho: actually, i considered 'o tannenbaum' but passed it over because it isn't so much a cover as it is a version of a traditional song (i know, that's splitting hairs, but if anything was going to be cut for time, it was that.) and i couldn't find 'to all the girls i've loved before' anywhere, otherwise that would have gone on too.
Verily doth that cover art be whack, yo.
And as long as we're splitting hairs, I thought 'Darlin' Alison' was a song Gordon Gano wrote for TMBG to play on the sountrack of that movie, so is that still a cover?
Regardless of stupid fools with nits to pick, tis a rockin' good mix, sir.

That covers it! This has got to be a joy to listen to.
This is fabulous! And that has got to be one of the all-time best covers AOTM has ever seen!!
awesome.
fantastic! who doesn't love a good cover? care to trade?
Excellent. I never knew that these guys were such a prolific covers band.
wow... i was just looking up all the single-artist TMBG mixes there were on this site and i found this... this is awesome!! i especially love the Phil Ochs cover, and certain props for including The Guitar as a cover, too. does 25 O'Clock really work as anything except an opening track...??forget that. this is awesome!!(and... plenty of great material for a sequel now i suppose too... their "cover" of It Was A Pretty Good Year is one of the wickedest covers i've ever fookin' heard!)
