Comment:
I can't take credit for this mix; my friend Lorna made it. I made her two mixes last year, so she made me one in return, but it was really just a Lateduster CD with some Blonde Redhead and Fugazi tacked on at the end. It was good, but she felt bad and decided to make me a real mix. This is the one she came up with, and I like it a lot. Some of these songs have significance, like: We both agree that Conor Oberst is the prettiest guy under thirty-five (so as not to put him above Tony Blair and Dave Foley), hence the double dose of the D's. A student teacher from our English class introduced her to Joan of Arc. We first heard of John Vanderslice when he was opening for Dis-Plan at a show we wanted to go to (but didn't) (we did end up seeing Yo La Tengo last month, though) (and we've got a "posse" for to go see Bright Eyes in two weeks) (she's the only person at the high school with tastes that lean toward the Indie, which is why she's my Concert-Going-Buddy). The title comes from last weekend when I needed someone to go with me to the Mitch Hedberg show, and Lorna almost came, but didn't. She was in the group that went last time, though. I'll leave you with the closing remarks Lo-chan put in her liner notes (don't believe a word she says): "Sorry to take so long on this. I know it's not wonderful, but I'm still learning."Feedback:
Mitch Hedberg is the man
Aie! Two Mitch Hedberg mixes submitted all at once! Weird. (That picture there is me on Spring Break. I seem to be looking for a Painted Bunting, or something.)
Mitch Hedberg is indeed pretty hilarious.
i agree that Mitch Hedberg rocks.
mitch is awesome, but dave foley is WAAAAAY prettier than tony blair. ;P
