Comment:
Leave it to others for the comprehensive collection of Bowie singles, B-sides, outtakes and otherwise non-album tracks: mine is a 12-song compilation of all my favorites, with a few left out because they didn't quite fit the feel (they go on the mish-mash mix). Attention is paid to flow, mood, musical style, but not time period; in fact, if there is a rule about time period, it's NOT to feature two songs from the same period in a row, whenever possible. This mixes it up and presents a fun challenge for an artist like Bowie, when I'm picking from 30 years of material.Feedback:
i would say I prefer
It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City in favour of the both Springsteen songs he recorded,

Correct me if I'm wrong, Spencer, but aren't nearly all of these rare tracks (most of them from the extended play sections of the Ryko CDs, one from the "Sound + Vision" box)? Some very cool choices, though. I love Bowie's version of "Alabama Song," which is much more faithful to the original than the more popular version by the Doors.
Oh, never mind. I just re-read your comments and now understand the point of this mix...it's your favorites from among the rarities.
