Comment:
African music ranging from the Soweto beat, to soukous (Congolese, Cameroonian, Parisian), to juju, and more. This captures me in the midst of educating myself further and further about the wonders of music native to Africa and/or Africans. I prefer the "mixed genre" category to "world music"; all music is world music.Feedback:
So much of the music we listen to in the States comes from the African continent...
I'd love to hear this!!
I'd love to hear this!!
looks really nice..
I'd love to hear this too! Only know a few of the artists.
Nice selection. Just saw King Sunny Ade a few weeks ago & Rokia Traore a couple of months ago & both are amazing live. Some of these bands do come around to the bigger cities, so keep your eye out!
just put that Special Five song on a new mix, and I've also got a few Sam Fan Thomas LPs. this mix of yours looks great! but why haven't you posted a mix since 2005? I think it's about time for your AotM comeback!
