I haven't heard any of this. but like the others, I know it must rock. I'm sure the Carl Newman we see here isn't the same Carl Newman from Wire.

yeah, there's a Carl Newman in the New Pornographers, but he looks awfully young to have released "Tom Tom" in 1960. But it didn't make the charts, so maybe he got discouraged & either changed his name to Colin Newman or just went into suspended animation for 40 years until the world could catch up with him . . .
