Comment:

A collection I put together many moons ago of my favorite extended mixes of '80s hits (some of which are better than the originals). Thought some of you might find it interesting.

Many of these versions are better than the originals. The extended version of "Ghost Town" might be:
Most. Haunting. Song. EVER.

What I find interesting about '80s remixes is the fact that most were merely extended versions, with a few differences here and there. Certainly different from the remixes of today, which are usually all but indistinguishable from the original song. Erik, "Ghost Town" made it on to my Halloween mix as well. Check it out.

Cool! I used to love buying extended versions of my favorite singles. I'm a bit surprised you didn't include anything by Prince. His extendedremixes were often incredible (Little Red Corvette, Kiss, ALphabet City)

Nice one Keymaster..! I'm with you on the distinctions between a remix from the 80s vs. the past few years. Loved buying remixes of my favorites (when available as such) back when.
