Brilliant songs on here! Esp. the Counting Crows (of course!) Radiohead (the 2nd song most of all), + Rage Against the Machine. I don't know what your motivation was, but it came from a pleasant place. Adore the title too; great work. Out.

you commented on my mix with:

"Is it necessary that EVERY "MOTW" be an indie rock/small town collabo? DO we really need to prove our musical superiority by showing how we are diehard fans of these artists that are SOOOOOO muh better than anything anyone else will ever know about"

excuse me but what is that supposed to mean? i don't know about you, but a lot of people have heard the bands i put on that tape. many of my friends in college were the ones who introduced me to those bands and so i put them on a tape for a friend who lives back home. it's a very fun dancy mix and i see no more harm in putting a band you have never heard of than putting a band that you own every cd of. if you have an issue with all the mixes being indie rock or whatever, please do not take it up with me, because i do not choose the mixes. i am sorry that this bothers you so much, but please don't take it out on me.

I don't think he was really attacking YOU, more just the fact that every MOTW is really Indie. Not just kinda Indie, but REALLY Indie. You jut happen to have had your mix picked this week, doesn't mean there's something wrong with your mix and I don't think he was saying that you're snobby just because of the music you listen to. At least that's not what I picked up on. He was just pissed off at the MOTW choices that have been happening for awhile. Really, I think that in all likelyhood he's probably more pissed off at the guest editor/judge, Nick. Some of it I happen to agree with. Just wanted to throw in my two cents....

i agree with you judy. i know what he was trying to say and all, and he has a very valid point. i just feel singled out because he chose to post this comment regarding my mix, instead of posting it on one of nick's mixes, sharing his concerns with those who have a say in what is or is not the mix of the week.
