It's been a feverish weekend, carving out 2 mixes for friends, + I'm knackered. However, I'm still (mostly) pleased with this. After the most recent listen, I realize the Kid Rock track was just a bad, bad idea. This mix is for a friend that I play Counterstrike with online at our local PC bang (or web cafe, if you prefer.) Some of the songs ("The Game", "How I Could Just Kill a man", etc.) are for the act of playing the game. The others ("Slow Chemical", "Aerials", etc.) are songs that I just happened to be listening to when I was playing once + have become staples of our Counterstrike all-nighters. I have been avidly ANTI-System of a Down for a long time, but I can't help it- this song is now officially part of the experience. Once again, due to the radio-friendly, 'flavour-of-the-month' content of this mix, I suspect it will be duly trashed by the indie set. However, perhaps a few of you will dig it. The title, by the by, is an in-joke that came from the friend who is getting this mix. I have no clue what exactly it means, but it makes me smile maliciously. Out.
