made for a friend. it actually should be called "rock pops" because the first side is all punk rock and side two is mostly pop-ish type things. side A is called "elaine, you broke up with me and now all i have for consolation is punk rock while i throw away everything you ever gave me", and side B is called "elaine, you broke up with me and i'm so sorry and i want you back so i'm listening to sappy pop music hoping you don't hate me". photo jenny was meant to be the last song on side two but there was more space left over than i anticipated. so the next song was supposed to be by the trembling blue stars but the end got cut off and i detest that. so that's why the pavement song kind of doesn't fit it, but i guess it does in a way. i'm not sure. this is an odd mix which was very fun to make.
