I put this together and burned the CD in about 15 minutes before leaving with the family on a two hour drive on Memorial Day. Sequencing was done by the shuffle function of MP3 library program. Worked pretty well for driving - especially Dylan's "Broke Down Engine" and the Clash numbers. Matchbox 20 and Lifehouse are on there for my kids but the songs worked in the mix too.Feedback:
But... but... but I like Lifehouse. For your kids? Ah crap... Anyways, I'm digging the Paul Westerberg, but completely torn up by the John Mellencamp. The thought of 1 of his songs on an otherwise fine mix... ergh, it makes me wince. Like eating chocolate + olives together. Further kudos for CCR + Mr. Ray Charles. Out.
Thanks for the comments. I wasn't being critical of Lifehouse - I was just trying to explain why they were in this particular set. As for Mellencamp, I do think "Lonesome Jubilee" is a good album ...
