Comment:

Why the Avril Comment? I'm sick, children. SICK. A girl in my bio class asked me to burn her a Manson CD. I said, despite the fact Manson's new album blew goats, he remains one of my favorite artists, and that instead, I would make her a greatest hits. I must say, this is a fun introduction to Manson... But has alot of the radio stuff everyone's heard. I would like to make a true "BEST OF MARILYN MANSON... There's no Beautiful People Here!" Mix. One day... Oh, and for the record, on her album it says "Dead To The World-The Best of Marilyn Manson".

I'm going to have to disagree and state emphatically that it's my personal opinion that Manson is nothing but a shock jockey (and yes, I know he's not Howard Stern), but he replaces musical talent with a little "hey look at me" action. But whatever, he gets the kids moving, I guess. But I'd rather listen to Alice Cooper.

Hmmm. I love the idea of MM - I just wish he had the writers that Alice Cooper and Kiss did. Still, a pretty great performer, to say the least. And he's a really bright guy. I just think he could use a hand with the songwriting.

You are the first person who I have seen who doesn't like the New CD..I haven't heard it yet. I have heard the Alice Cooper thing before but as a fan of both I think Manson is a little more socially relevant than Cooper ever was. I hear a lot of Bowie influence in his stuff too (especially on some of the vocals).Besides I'd rather have even the worst rip off shock artist than a no talent like fiddy cent out there.

manson fans: the breakdown....early manson fans like the first two albums, and the whole industrial/goth punk sound. mid-manson fans like his hit albums like "antichrist" and "holywood"...the albums with the shock-rock lyrics and the radio-friendly sound. group 3 likes everything, including golden age....i don't dislike golden age, i just think that a person needs to give it a few listens and then realise that it's styled down and more vocals-focused than their previous albums, which were beat driven and background heavy than "golden age"...oh well, Manson's still a decent artist. i'll take hime over rap any day of the week.
