I wanted this to be a CD that was all about chicks being badass, or demanding, or self-assured, but I also didn't want it to be a crap mix full of Le Tigre and Sleater-Kinney.

I wanted it to be the kind of mix you can crank up in your car and sing along to really loud without looking like you're driving to Lilith Fair.
