Comment:

I was trading CDs with a buddy of mine. He got a copy of a Live performance of Frank, Sammy and Dean from 1963 and it was AMAZING! So I said if he made me a copy I'd make a CD for him. Thus, the collection of "Family" favorites. I've included all the movies the songs appeared in (although I can't remember which movie that Connie Francis song was in) and yes, all these songs were from my personal collection. As a (at least partly) Italian-American I grew up with this music in our home, and so when I'd hear it in the "mob" movies it really seemed to stick in my head. I know, the mix is a little 'Godfather-centric' but that is after all the ultimate mob movie. Most importantly though, this is all great music. Maybe THAT's why people like those movies so much?
