Comment:
"come and stay at the beautiful Hotel Yesterday. accomodations feature unmade beds, damp towels in heaps on the floor, old newspapers and half filled cups of old coffee." - Henry Rollins, "Smile, You're Traveling". just a little best of for me on the road. started a new job a few weeks ago, so I don't have the time for mixes that i used to. ah well, once i get used to it, maybe i can churn out some more. anyways, hope you enjoy...Feedback:
So where do you sit on the Black Flag v. RB side of the fence? I was a big fan of BF for a short, but really important period of my life. And unlike many of the BF snobs, I prefered Rollins vocals over the others - or maybe the band just seemed better at that point. For some reason, I never warmed up to the RB, though the couple tracks I recognize here are pretty good. Haven't heard the 2002 versions of "Rise Above" and "TV Party". How do they compare?
I saw Rollins Band in Toronto about 6 years ago...or maybe more... anyway, they were really good to see live. I really like Rollins' books, Hallucinations of Granduer is amazing...a diary of life on the road with Black Flag.
