Growing up in Germany in the 80ies didn't allow you to listen to these songs on german radio, bcs they didn't play them. So we were listening to the British Forces Radio BFBS whole day and night. This mix is dedicated to the ones at BFBS in the 80ies. Thanks!

Looks like it's Brit Essentials..that's an great story too of how you discovered the songs.
This music was non-existent on US mainstream radio also, but many of these songs made it onto college radio playlists. I also remember a syndicated show called "Rock Over London" that played a few. It's funny--I spent a year in Munich during the mid-80s, and the situation there was reversed to what you experienced. You were much more likely to hear these bands on Bayern 3 than on AFN. Of course, AFN is not BFBS!
