Comment:
I made this for the CD Swap Club I belong to. I chose a very restrictive theme of choosing songs that when listened to in order, tell a coherent story. I created cover art and liner notes to help explain the role of each song (chapter) and what its place in the narrative. If you'd like to read the liner notes, just email me. Hope you like it.Feedback:
Here are the liner notes for the first seven songs:
1)Our hero rides into town with his brothers and discovers there are available maidens to be had. But, are there truly enough maidens to go around? And if not, how will our guy ensure he gets one?
2)It doesn't take long for joy to turn to pain as our man stumbles through his first serious relationship. He finds many perceived faults in his new love, and here he tells her what bugs him most.
3) Was the vision of true love just a mirage? Our heroine rebutts by issuing an ultimatum. She asks him . . . no, tells him . . . no, demands he take her as she is or leave her alone. Ooooh, fire in the hole!
4) Heartbroken after his new paramour walked out on their budding relationship, the young man hits the road in search of new true love. What he finds are women who pass through his life as quickly and unrelenting as the months. After 5 excruciating months, will 5 minutes be just the salve he needs?
5) Now that our couple have refound true love, they get down to discussing what each seeks in a relationship. After the rocky road earlier, they now ask only one thing of each other: Loyalty.
6) After a move to That Big City On The East Coast, reality sets in on our bohemian couple when they discover that living requires more than love. Without any useful job skills, how will he provide for his sweet thang? Roadtrips? Of what sort?
7) Between songs, the young lover abandoned his street trade and gets a legal job at a warehouse. Will stocking shelves fulfill him as much as less legal avenues? He asks himself is he as free as he would like to be, or is he enslaved by the man in a job he despises. Here, we hear the ominous phrase: "Kept in emotion will cause an explosion."
