Comment:

sometimes he'll just bust out a breakdancing move for no real reason at all. maybe while we're eating, or walking down the street. and he did it when he visited for the first time, coming through the arrivals gate at the airport. a little pop/lock action and i was like "oh, of course, that's exactly right."

holy shit! "freakshow on the dance floor" always takes me back to that scene in breakin' where pop'n'taco calls out ozone on venice beach. and ozone's all scared, so he's like "naaaah man, forget you!" there was so much tension in the air, you could cut it with a fucking robot move....
anyway, this tape sports it fresh from side one, song one to side two, song six. really, really, really fun. really fun.

er, that would be bruno "pop'n'taco" falcon, and adolfo "ozone" quinones.
anyone else remember ice-t doing a little freestyle rhyming during one of the battle scenes, and he goes "don't get mad ozone / it's like that sometimes"? poor ozone.
anyone? is it just me? that was the best.

DOORAG! AGAIN! I like it too, a lot, but it reminds me I was stupid not to get that MARS 12" for $2 once. Might've been the album, even.

i checked out some of your other mixes i havent even gone through half of them yet but i like your diversity its good to be open to all music ,whatever moves you cannot be denied no matter what genre. ive just discovered yesterday that these type of sites exist.so now i have a way to get some kind of feed back besides from freinds. i do notice though that people tend once again to use specific formulas for their mixes as if there are fuckin rules for these things. if its calculated then the chances are that the mix may be cool by other peoples standards but if that what people are going for to seek approval well then how boring and pathetic. I guess what im geting at is that the mix should come straight from the heart and never ever be thought out at least thats my opinion, then youve got a genuine piece of art and a beautiful painting of emotion to share with others about what you were going through at that time. fuck the formulas if i want to repeat a certain band a couple of times in one mix then so be it.I just noticed this yesterday that there is kind of a snobbery about other peoples formulas, true artists take risks and fly, sometimes they crash and burn but thats just because they tend to let it all hang out and just do. fuck the method there shouldnt be one if the hearts involved. any way sorry for all the cursing its just that im very passionate about art and life and the human condition. i promise that i wont gab this long again i just thought that you might hear me out .thanks keep it up

no problem, i don't mind the gab. you're right, there is a lot of approval-seeking on this site, but there's also a lot of sincerity. sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. but i'm glad you're enjoying the discovery of aotm. i guess you should just keep posting the mixes that make you proud and ignore any snobbery or pettiness.

i'm quite happy with this mix. i wasn't thinking of this site when i made it, just the person who was about to receive it. he liked it, and that's all that really matters in the end.
