Comment:
Hope everyone has/had a happy 4th of July. This is just something I threw together to listen to on our way to the cookout we're going to today. It might seem strange to start it off with the very atmospheric U2 instrumental, but it was actually pretty cool starting off with that since I started making this CD at 6:00 this morning, while holding my one-year-old, who had just woken up. Anyway, I might need to revise this (the James Brown song is actually a Christmas song), but this will do for now. The title comes from the X song, which is represented here both by the X version and by Dave Alvin's version, for which I thank Mo Twang! and thanks to Scott K for the Beach Boys' "4th of July."Feedback:
Thanks for the shout-out. This looks like a whole lotta fun. I'm sure a lot of people will be glad yu left off Mariah Carey's "4th of July!" Happy 4th!
Very nice, but, where's the Mariah...oh...Happy 4th.
Looks like a great mix for the holiday weekend!
I'll be spinnin' on my mat to a lot of this music today on the santa monica pier. my crew and I will be breakdancing for all the people! thank you so much!
Well alright! Had something similar in mind, but spaced it as usual. Nice job. For a little old-fashioned jingoism, you might consider adding the Blues Bros.' version of Green Onions.
Pretty kewl. And I love to see that Bruce song well utilized.
Yet another themed masterpiece!
