Comment:

After hearing the songs "Stars" and "Pretty Pathetic" from one of my previous mixes, a friend asked me to make her a Smoking Popes Mix. This is the first time that I've done a single artist mix. I made it a C-60 just to make sure it wouldn't be overkill. I tried to cover a wide range of their work, and I also put in a tune by Duvall (Josh Caterer's new band), two songs from drummer Mike Felumlee's solo project, and a Smoking Popes cover.





The cover art is from a drawing that a friend gave me that I modified for use on the j-card. It's meant to work so that you only see a couple of the stars until you unfold it, and then, surprise! I got the idea to use the drawing b/c my friend said she had liked the song "Stars" in particular. I think the j-card came out very nicely.
