Comment:

mix of old and new (mainly new). thanks to dayvid and sarah for recommending camera obscura and the beautiful few. when sarah asked (in the shop) 'do you like belle and sebastian?' i didn't even have to hear the cd first, as i totally trust her picks. this mix is also to give praise to lou barlow, who gave an awesome show here a week or so back (and then sold his 'loubiecore' cd for only $10 aus! - that's like $7 us!) and to the upcoming shows by dcfc and the mountain goats. interpol are coming too - but only the eastern states! bugger. title courtesy of camera obscura.

Really strong here SueEW..! Especially the stretch 3-5,8,11 & 12, and the ending run of 14-16.....don't know the rest, but will give the Beautiful Few a look-see at their web site. (Again, like Radiohead, I may be one of the few who haven't caught up to/heard the Delgados....a friend badgers me about this, along with Coldplay...I'm a happy guy though.)

Nice to see that you're putting that CD burner to good use. Nice to see Pale Fountains, Ride and that funny Camera Obscura song. Is that the Stone Roses that DCFC are covering? Haven't heard it.

Ion: the DCFC is indeed a cover of the Roses. It appears on the "yeti, no 2" fanzine, a US zine, which I purchased a few months back. It contains lots of covers, including "peng" done by Iron & Wine. And a fine job at that.
