Comment:
This is my nostalgia mix. Every song has a special relevance for me from my senior year in high school. The related memories are as follows: Self Esteem - Riding in the back seat of Ron Rawhoof's car one night and feeling all privilaged about it. More Human Than Human - The song that was playing when Mike dropped the transmission on his car while speeding over a speed bump in the trailor park. Fade Into You - The song I enjoyed sighing dramatically to while making up elaborate fantasies involving Billy Henson. Caught A Lite Sneeze - Not giving a fuck that Frank didn't like it. I was not going to listen to TuPac. Carnival - Just 'cause i always thought it was so damn good and they showed it on MTV alot at the time. Kiss From A Rose - The magical box song!!!! Queer - Inspiring many Shirley Manson imitations and my makeup style for about three years. Dope Hat - 'Cause I'd kiss the tv whenever Twiggy came on with his cute little dreadlocks all a-bouncin'! Head Like A Hole - Getting the ice cream in Billy's hair the night Laurie-Q got her license. Opiate - "So. . . you like Tool?" Bob - "Jessica! He sounds like a demented farmer!" Spiderweb - Going on the rollercoaster at the little white trash fair after some lady admired my makeup and asked if I was "performing somewhere". Please Do Not Go - dancing around in my underwear with Nikki. My Way - Because I watched the Great Rock N' Roll Swindle on, like, a daily basis. That covers it. And now I have made myself feel old. Sigh.Feedback:
This builds almost inperceptibly, then peaks at #10. Then it drops... like, DROPS drops. Mayhap I'm too old... or not old enough. I have to muse. Out.
i love nostalgic mixes. it doesn't get any better.

i like it, except for the seal song. that's kinda like dropping the transmission of your mix. did you use the radio edit of creep? i put that in a mix recently to annoy a friend who was expecting the normal version :)
