sunrise-- at around three a.m., it's still dark out. fairly cold and wet, but morning nonetheless. slowly, the birds find their wings and remember how to fly. activity fills the sky in rhythm with the spill of sunlight over the horizon. the warmth of the rays mixed with the warmth of the people; the quiet murmurs soothingly. around this time is when it just sort of happens. the dewy pre-morning darkness cracks open to reveal the mountains in the distance. things are pink now, things feel pink now. birds flock, people follow not too far behind. it's a wonderful feeling when you realize that it is morning again.
