The name for the mix was taken from that old school Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer claymation feature where the Yukon Cornelius character says that the fog is as think as peanut butter but the Hermie character corrects him and says that it's actually as think as pea soup. Or something like that. Anyhow, the songs here stick with that theme in that they have that head bobbing groove you get from jazzified funk or funktified jazz or some combination of those and other influences.
