Comment:
This would be the back half of the mix I posted on Monday. Again, it's (sorta) alt-country, but looking past the major artists. Except Gram Parsons. These are mostly sad songs, so I had to put Gram's on there, because it may be the saddest song I've ever heard. The title is from the spectacular Handsome Family song. I suspect every mix I make from this point forward will take its title from a Handsome Family or Mountain Goats song. There are just so many good lines in both groups' songs.Feedback:
Beautiful. I love those sad country songs.
lambchop is cool and that ron sexsmith track is great. i really like the remixversion with chris martin.
Great stuff, Adam. slow and sad is how I like 'em, man. Especially dig the Bottlerockets, Gram, Blue Mountain and Palace tracks.
More great stuff! Pardon me while I pour a beer to cry into.
great stuff. love the flatlanders and gram parsons especially, but the whole thing buzzes
Lots of great songs here.
back in town, eh?....both of your last two mixes look really cool. I'm anxious to hear that cover of Papa Was a Rodeo
Yes, Cleveland was as exciting as it appeared in my dreams...and the cover is pretty damn cool.
Great stuff. Sorry I missed it before. And yes, I know what you mean about that Gram tune.
In regards to the cover, I heard it live a few months ago and it's amazing. Good mix.
