Comment:
Another mix for another trade with another brave soul from AOTM. I made this a few weeks ago, but wanted to wait 'til she received it before I posted it. Props MUST go out to any of you out there who ever posted a mix with Yo la Tengo, Sleater-Kinney, Red House Painters, or Pretty Girls Make Graves; seeing them all over the site prompted me to check them out, + without such motivation I never would've known about them. So cheers to so many of you out there. The photo below is, obviously, the CD cover; the title comes from the Tragically hip track- 1 of the few Hip songs that I can tolerate. This mix was a bit of an experiment for me- a stretch from my usual tastes. So yeah, I'm hoping that some of you out there will dig it. Out.
Feedback:
Very interesting mix. Neither Sleater-Kinney nor Tragically Hip are strangers to any of my mixes!
nice as always, Dru. it's been awhile since you've posted (and even longer since I myself have posted) and I'm so glad to see you coming back with such a diverse mix. heh. unfortunately, I can no longer trade from now until November. *sighs* I still LOVE the mix you sent me! cheers and much <3 to you.
Finally you have witnessed the power of Pretty Girls Make Graves and Sleater-Kinney. Kudos to you, your mix, and the trade-off. Later
very wonderful mix.
I love how Train snuck into this mix. No, seriously, I'm not being sarcastic.
