Comment:

Inspired by the atmospheres and moods of the Bros. Quay, Rasputina, old Victrolas, and "Something Wicked This Way Comes". I was going for something creepy and brain-itchy, something that would do a little soft-shoe around the perimeters of gothic country without actually stepping foot inside. It's meant to be somewhat of a sinister exaggerator and it takes itself with a grain of salt (hence the Marilyn Manson; I've been just looking for an excuse to stick him on a mix.) I'm happy with the way this one turned out - it seems to flow really well, with the punchy, angry tracks punctuating the overall laid-back Addams-Family vibe at what seem to be appropriate intervals. Overall, a highly skewed and demented mix.

Great idea for a mix: Dig the C93, Nick Cave, and Tom Waits!
