Comment:

Something for Labor Day. Patriotic songs. Some sincere, some bittersweet, some sarcastic, some ironic, some direct praise and some direct slams. The counterpoints go back to back; Just a Bill vs the Simpsons parody; the Green Berets vs. Country Joe's anti-war chant; DOA's Canadian punk vs. Ray Charles' rousing rendition of America the Beautiful. Ted Hawkins' heartful appreciation of America vs. Steve Earle's "is that the best we can do?" And the Animal House quotes... well, I just think they're fitting. ;) (And of course the title is a poke at the Fox News logo).

I hope the Fox News Channel doesn't catch wind of this mix's title, or else you'd better have a good lawyer on your hands. Just ask Al Franken.
